FBI is helping the Canadians. They are asking our threat level be raised (they =FBI).

This from Shepherd Smith.

The RCMP are world renowned for their investigation skills....and I'm sure anything the FBI can offer to help with the investigation will be appreciated.

No one right now is claiming this is connected to Isis but the RCMP has been investigating potential terrorism plots:

No place is safe, in my mind Canada was always a safer place than the US. It is true that the RCMP are renowned for their amazing investigation skills.

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

Would it be wrong of me to comment on how differently these events are viewed by Canadians and Americans?

Not at all....in fact...I know my way of viewing things that happen here in the US often differs from my American husband.

Very upset, so heartbreaking for Canada. Just so upsetting.

Canada just sent planes to help with the fight against ISIS.

I just wish our citizenry would be just as outraged as Canada's when this kind of thing happens here. Instead, we're told that more people should be armed.

When 21 little kids obliterated at their desks yields no change for us, I'm afraid it will never change.

ETA: Thanks for allowing me to say what was on my mind. My thoughts do not change the heartbreak I feel for our neighbors and allies in the great north.

As StrayKatz posted, here is a live stream from Canada. Peter Mansbridge is an excellent journalist.

Actually, the FBI is raising their alert level at field offices. That's not the same as the US threat level.

It's always a victory for me when I remember why I entered a room.
