I first saw it on ABC when they broke in, but they did not stay on for more than a couple of minutes.

I am so immune to the Cable News when they say "breaking news", but boy when the regular channels break it, my stomach drops.

So true. I still remember coming out to my car after 9/11 and seeing I had missed about 10 calls, cranked the engine and Tom Brokaw was on . . .

Canada61 I have a great fondness for Canada and visit British Columbia often. I'm sick about what's going on in Ottawa! Positive thoughts and well wishes to our friends from the north.

Re: Thoughts and prayers for our Northern Friends

My family and friends in Canada have been posting and updating FB with this news since it happened.....shootings are such a common occurance here in the US but always shocking to everyone....imagine how much more shocking it is in Canada because this is the kind of stuff that Canadians rarely hear happening....not to say it doesn't happen...just saying not on the same scale as shooting occurances in the US.
