Those Awaiting the Hurricane...How Are Your Pets Reacting?

Are any of your dogs or cats acting fearful before the storm? I'm watching my mom's dog and he is deathly afraid of storms. He has this scared look on his face all morning and I caught him hiding earlier today on a bed. I'm really worried about him because he goes crazy at the sound of just rain coming down hard. And, if it's windy, forget about it. Does anyone have any tips for calming down their pets?
