Can relate to the technology part, but the other stuff, not so much!  Grew up in Public Housing Projects, no ice cream trucks/never had a bike/no sprinklers or hydrant showers/swings always broken/s'mores, never heard of them.

Did make hockey sticks out of wood a furniture shop threw away. Just had to hunt for nails and a hammer to make them. If I could go back, I wouldn't change a thing.

Maybe that's why I got interested in electronics at about 15!

That was my childhood too without the s'mores and bicyles.  I roller skated.  As for television there were only six channels, 2, 4, 5, 7, 11, 13, and they did not offer many good options.  I also did not have a remote control.  I actually had to get up to change the channels.  Oh the horror!

Subtract the fireflies.  Didn't have them where I lived and thought they were just in novels, but loved the idea of them.

Add roller skating on the sidewalks and hula hoop and pogo stick contests on the patio.
