The only way to avoid this irritating problem is to sign in immediately before you even think of participating in the forum. That will eliminate the inability to sign in and then finding you're already signed in!

I haven't experienced most of the problems I keep seeing reported, and I think that's because I clear browser cookies/cache/data at least once a day (and keep all the software current). Like it or not, this website is highly sensitive to browser software versions and also to browser cookies/cache/data.
However... the site clearly is experiencing problems today (and maybe for a couple of days) for just about everyone in that videos aren't always displaying properly. I did some trial-and-error testing and reported what I found to the support team. There are a couple of threads discussing the problem in the Q Talk forum, if anyone's interested in adding to them:
"Any laptop users not seeing product video buttons?"
and
(As a sidebar: The support team have said they're more likely to see the threads about site problems when they're posted in the Suggestion Box.)

please note that there are numerous complaints about videos not even showing up on the product pages.
currently i am using a laptop with IE and firefox browsers. i cannot get videos to even show up. others seem to be having problems also.

Whenever you have a site complaint, you should include information about the device, Operating System (OS), and browser you used to log in. That way they can try and replicate it. If you don't include that information, you've given them nothing because they have to guess how to replicate it and usually won't be able to.
I can honestly report that this has never happened to me on the new site, only happened to me once on the old site, and that I log in once a day on my laptop and don't have to do it again all day.
I use a Dell laptop with Windows 7 and the Chrome browser.

Well, I can honestly say that I've had an overabundance of issues since the "improvements" to the Q's website, which included the "Blogs & Forums." I won't go into any detail, but the issues were so ridiculous and long-standing that I finally decided to return an expensive sweater out of spite, I was that angry.
QVC is a large orgaization and should have the staff and technology to address all of these issues. It wasn't until yesterday that my forum issues were finally resolved. Unbelievable. My next challenge is to try to make a purchase to see if that end of the system will recognize my log-in, which now works here on the Forum end.
I'm not ignorant when it comes to technology, having worked for a software development corp in the 90s, but am not fluent in the subject as are ChynnaBlue and dooBDoo.
June, let's hope your issues are cleared up soon, once and for all. This should be a fun experience - no some place you go to get frustrated.

This site is wacky, I agree. It keeps telling me to sign in when I AM signed in, over and over again.

With all of the discussions going on about this topic, it would seem that someone from the Q staff, would let us know if they are working on the problems. Q should have the best IT dept around but they have the worst problems when it comes to their site. I never have problems with other shopping channels. I am hoping that all will be fixed soon.

As far as the forums are concerned, I don't believe that the Q actually manages or administers them. In the wee hours of the dawn a week or so ago, when attempting to access the forums, I got this message:

I did a quick google and found info on Lithium Online Community Forums here:

So, I think the most our Q mods/social team can do when made aware of technical problems is to get details from us and then pass those problem-specifics on to Lithium for corrections and revisions. I would guess the third-party arrangement (which most online communities do utilize) tacks on the extra time it takes to get any solutions.

I have had problems logging in on both my Desktop (an old Version of Windows--don't remember which one, and Chrome browser) and my MacBook Air (Safari). I've had to change my nickname and start all over with number of posts a couple of times. Finally this last time it gave me back my original nickname and gave me some of my posts back.
I've also just waited to log in a couple of times and am finally able to.
