This may help some of you with this new site.............

[ Edited ]

If you can sign in to Firefox or Google Chrome on Qs new site here, this website looks much better. In Internet Explorer its all zig zag and a mess. So if you have been seeing zig zag try a different browser. Hope this helps some.

Re: This may help some of you with this new site.............

Thanks for posting this Shorty!  I hope it will help all those with display problems.

I have always used Mozilla Firefox, because I was told it was the most secure of all the browsers, so when I first ventured on here yesterday, I had no display problems whatsoever.

The only "Preferences" options I changed were the "Privacy" settings.  Instead of the default settings, I permanently selected the ones for "No one" in all the categories.  I didn't want my email address showing accidentally if QVC changed their default settings.

My only problems with the board right now are the "Gamers" threads and the lack of an option to "Read last post" on a thread.  I used to use that one all the time on the old board.  Woman Frustrated

Before you open a thread, if you click on the "time" of last post on the right of the unopened thread right above the last poster's name, this will take you to the last post in the thread.

For example, before opening this thread you will see my nic on the right as the last poster and something like "3 minutes ago"  Just click on the "3 minutes ago" and your at the last post.

Here's a weird thing for me - an anomaly I might say - Yesterday morning, on my Win7 computer upstairs in my office, the board was all jumbled using IE.   Later in the morning I was downstairs on my Win8 computer and I tried IE again, and it was perfectly good.

So I just figured - ok, good deal.  They fixed it.  Then, this morning up in my office, I went to the board on IE (same IE11 as I have on the Win8 computer, BTW) and it was all jumbled up again.

So, I use Google Chrome on my Win7 computer, but I can go ahead and use IE11 on this Win8 computer with nary a problem.

I can't figure out what's different, as they both have the same version of IE.

Just wanted to highlight @Marlea Lee's instructions to go directly to the last reply on a thread.

Thanks, @Shorty2U, for posting the IE tip.

One good thing they did with this change was to bring back the feature where, if you've already been on a thread, the next time you click on that thread it takes you to the last post you had already seen.   BUT, you need to set that in your 'Preferences'.

That was one thing that a lot of us really missed from one of the board changes they made and I'm super glad it's back.  Smiley Happy

@chickenbutt, Did you clear cookies, cache, etc., then close and relaunch the browser on both computers before trying to use the Q forums?  This website is particularly sensitive to that, especially every time they make any changes, even small ones we're not aware of.

Hey dooB - I hadn't done that but, earlier this morning just before I signed off of that computer, I did a cleaning so I'll check tomorrow to see if it still looks jumbled up in IE.    Thanks for the advice!  Smiley Happy  You're always so helpful and I, for one, appreciate that.

Plus, you're nice and that doesn't hurt.   Smiley Happy   I like nice people!

CB, I have Win7 too...and I'm using Mozilla/Firefox. It works okay but it is so  s-l-o-w. I'm gonna try using my Kindle tonight to see if it's any better. Even my reading glasses doesn't help reading the posts. After a half hour I start getting a headache. Cat Sad

YES!!!!  I am happy to see this feature is back too!  So far, using Firefox on a laptop computer, this new forum looks a lot like the old forum so no complaints from me.
