This makes you smile

[ Edited ]

There is a LipSyncChallenge on YouTube that the police departments in different states doing. Our local Oswego Police dept. did one that is to Power of Love. If you have a a few minutes to watch I hope it makes your day as it did mine. Not because it is our police dept. but that it has a story to it.

The deloreon car is owned by a neighbor of ours.

Here is the link:

I forgot to add we have a new Mayor named Billy that looks like the little boy-hence the connection. Our new Mayor is doing things for the city that hasn’t been done in years. We just got out taxes reduced also.

@Peaches McPhee A small world. Us New Yorkers have many blessings. Our city taxes are going down 2.1% which is more than we have had in 20 years so we are thankful. Our new Mayor is 27 years old and has lived in Oswego all his life. Very personable and caring. We are blessed.

You are about 1 1/2 hours from here.

We have sunsets here on the Lake Ontario that are ranked some of the highest in the US.

Thanks for the reply. It made me smile.

The sidewalks that needed repairs are being repaired and the city streets in need are getting repaved. We were lucky as our street was one on the list. So many updates are being done in the city as we have many tourists visiting the city. Newer crosswalks have been repainted that are easier and wider to see and trails along the waterfront have been updated and are safer for families to enjoy. Many more things being done or coming.

The residents here are getting their houses fixed up as they take pride in the city. Plus all landlords are being held responsible to be up to code to rent their properties. Old abandoned buildings are coming down a few at a time making it safer also.

It is nice to take pride in where we all live and have a voice that are heard. I hope your small town cities do the same for all of you.

The police officers must have liked the song as they were right on cue with their mouth movements. Some singing artists don’t even do that. 😊

I always have loved that song.

The fort is Fort Ontario on Lake Ontario.

@MKR14 Hey we had an old building come down here too. Unfortunately it was abandoned and owned by NYS and it fell down on it's own. Smiley LOL

I'm glad to hear your area is doing well. I haven't been out that way in a while but it's a lovely area. I might have to take a road trip and check it out again.

Our city hasn't joined the lipsync challenge yet. Hopefully someone will challenge them to do it.

@pigletsmom I hope someday you get to revisit our town.

Next will be a huge restoration of store fronts next year. They have been redoing our lighthouse-which is an icon of our city.

Have a wonderful and safe weekend everyone. 😊
