I know that people are enamored with their "devices" but is it too much to ask that when you are having a conversation with someone that they put the stupid, oh, I mean SMART, phone down and look you in the eye?
I have had several encounters this week with people who are surfing or texting or whatever on their IWhatevers WHILE engaged in conversation with me.
And I've observed it with other people.
What is the deal with this? Do you do this when you're talking to someone? I think it's totally rude and obnoxious. Much like talking on the phone with someone but also carrying on a conversation with someone else, you know people who say, "Oh, hold on a sec" and they're chattering away with someone else while you're holding on.
It is SO OBNOXIOUS!
Rant Over.
Thanks for listening.
