I love Prime..and they don't make money on my membership. I ordered a fantastic faux leather recliner..on prime and I couldn't believe it really showed up within two days.

That said only once has an item not arrived..it was eye liner that I could of ordered from Avon but I wanted it quicker lol..and it was for sale on Amazon under prime..well my mistake..took two weeks..I complained and they offered me to return the item..seriously it was a five buck item..but the funny thing is that ONE eye liner arrived in a HUGE BOX..

They gave me Amazon credit that I didn't ask for or even realize I had until I ordered something and the $3 popped up..Can't beat Amazon no matter what.. They have great CS and I order A LOT and a few items that have been damaged ..they made good on..

This always baffles me.  My DH and I were flying to Nashville and some of the flights we looked at had us flying from Ohio to Chicago to get to Nashville.  Several of them had us going from Ohio to Atlanta to Nashville.

I have a bracelet coming from QVC , it was shipped on the 5th and is out for delivery today. However, my package from HSN that shipped the same day is in Tallahassee, Fl today. I know from experience it will go to Orlando and then back to Tampa before it finally starts on it's way south to me. It will have travelled hundreds and hundreds of miles instead of the less than 90 it actually needed to go.

I thought that my package taking an unexpected detour, to be funny. Plus, I have Prime.

So, Amazon isn't the end all and be all, nirvana of shipping.

Every company, be it QVC or Amazon, is at the mercy of the efficiency of its shipping agent.  I think it's miraculous that they're as accurate as they are.  I get very few royal mess ups and I order A LOT.

I have had 3 items from Amazon delayed in the last 8 days!.  Must be the weather,  Some items come in 3 days, others can take much longer.  They aren't as quick as they used to be for me.  I will reword that. They aren't consistently super fast like they use to be.  I have had Prime its debut.  I use to get items in one day, or usually on the 2nd day without Prime.  Now it comes it 2-4 days AFTER they ship it. 

They are still the best, and sooooooooooooo convienient.  I buy everything there, food, staples, toiletries, medical supplies, OTC medication,  I just ordered  cases of energy drinks...cheap too.
