We can give hearts to someone who post something positive. But when I see a comment to a post that is negative or insulting. I'd like to respond don't want to get get into an argument.
A thumbs down or frown would be nice.

Maybe not such a good idea. I guess I'll go back to reading and not responding.

Why would one want to be anonymous with their "thumbs down?"

As the OP said--she doesn't want to start another argument, and I can see where that could happen with knowing who gave posts thumbs down. I remember recently posters were blasted for hearting posts others didn't agree with!

Yep. Posters start arguments with others who heart a post; can you imagine if you "dissed" one.
