Negative wind chills the other day hitting -15 to -20..fast forward a few days...HIGH today 54!
What a span..

We had wind chills around -40 below the other day. Probably had a good 20 inches of snow on the ground.
It rained almost all day yesterday, in the 30s, ton of snow melted - now we have flooding.

That's what we have/had this week, too. Crazy, but I'm liking today.

I'm loving every second of this weather! I got out of the house yesterday for the first time in a week. We were really getting cabin fever. Today is supposed to be up to 32 above. We had 30 below last week. My dishwasher is still frozen up, but maybe it will thaw now.

Ridiculous... And rain, rain, rain... I'm sick of it! And frankly, I'd rather have it cold and sunny than 60, humid and rainy, which is what it is in my area today. I realize some folks are having a harsh winter, and I'm glad they're getting a break from it, but as for me, it IS winter and I'd prefer it seem like winter. Doesn't have to be bitter cold with tons of snow, but this warm-up, especially on the heels of the one at Christmas, which gave us several days of really warm temperatures, is just not welcome!

I know you folks are suffering from the cold and snow, but out west our reservoir is down to 41 percent and we have very dry winds. I think I would like to trade for a few months!

I can empathize with you hennypenny, the past couple summers here were drought conditions and our water tables were at an all time low. Seems we are never quite content, I know the moisture we have had from our several storms are really good towards our spring crops, it's just hard to view it that way when you're facing several feet of snow to shovel and cars are getting stuck. I'm sure I'll miss this when we are back up to 100+ degrees for a month at a time come summer. Isn't it strange, there is only a finite amount of water on our planet, and how it gets distributed is truly fascinating.

The weather is crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if people get sick because of the drastic changes. It's in the 30's today and it feels like a heat wave.

We had a foot of snow the other day and now a couple inches of heavy rain. It was torrential!

Last Saturday morning when I left for work at about 520a, it was minus 8 degrees on the car's digital thermometer.....today it's in the 50's, raining cats and dogs, with thunder and lightening.
