My heart goes out to you @MamaWick. I am so sorry you had to lose your adorable little best friend. Thank you for letting us get to know Cricket through your pictures of her and letting us share in her great personality.

I know the feeling where you keep thinking you see her. I chose to see it as a reassuring visit to let me know they're safe and happy and full of love for me.

@MamaWick  I am crying along with you thinklng of Cricket and how she was loved.  She had a wonderful life with parents with you and Papa Wick; she was a happy girl and it is so hard when they must leave.

We lost our guy in June and it was so unexpected.  He was fine in the morning, taking his walk then back home chowing down his breakfast.  By evening we had to take him to the emergency vet medical center.  After an ultrasound we were told he was bleeding internally from an inoperable tumor and would not last the night.  Had absolutely no symptoms.  Due to Covid we could not go in with him so we took him home at Midnight and he was gone by 6:15 a.m.  Don't think we will ever get over it so I am grieving for you and Cricket.  Know how it feels.

@hckynut

Thank you for this thread.  It's very thoughtful of you & Cindy.  I still very much miss our 2 cats from over 20 years ago.

Mama/Papa Wick:  you're still in my thoughts as I know how much you miss your dear Sweet Cricket.  You'll see in time, your heart will begin to heal &  your beautiful memories with Cricket will take over.  Just hold them close to your hearts.  Comfort hugs to both of you.  Heart

@MamaWick I am so sorry for the pain you are feeling in the loss of Cricket.  I have been dealing with the brokenness from losing my baby, TOBY SNOW.  He passed away on July 4 about 7:30 in the morning.  He had been a family member for 16 yrs 2 months.   I actually received a sympathy card from the girls at the drive thru bank,  my mail lady and several in our community.  We can only hope they are at peace and waiting at the door for us to cross over.  I can see Cricket and Toby running through the daisies playing now.  When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we are far apart.  Every time you think of me, I am right here in your heart.  Much love to you!!!

My heart goes out to you and anyone else who's facing the loss of a pet.  Every single time I've had to say goodbye to a pet I swear I never want to go through that pain again but I can't imagine life without my furry friends.   Sending you wishes of comfort & healing!
