The poor firefighters' work is never done. The aftermath of a Californnia fire.

Cannot imagine their hours and hours of working those deadly fires. Then, returning to inspect and dry those miles and miles of hoses. They protect and serve us 24/7.

Those poor folks who lost so much. I've been reading alot of celebs have donated to help out. Makes me feel so fortunate. When you think you got it bad, so many really do.

Anyone who puts their life on the line deserves the most respect & THANKS.
Seems it's a never ending battle in CA with all of these wild fires each year. I feel so sorry for everyone effected with lives lost, injured, losing homes & wild animals hopefully escaping.
Hubby & I saw on TV about a man & his young daughter from CO who raised funds for an RV & travelled to CA to use the RV to provide sleeping quarters for those who need rest. Also, for those who've been providing food & other assistance.
If any good comes of this, it's nice to see people pull together to comfort, volunteer & support those in need.

My heart breaks for these hardworking men and women out there fighting fires. As quickly as they spread they must feel as if they're fighting an uphill battle.
When NY and NJ got hammered by Superstorm Sandy, utility companies from around the country came in to help get power restored (we were out for 11 days, but do have a generator). When Florida is hit by hurricanes Con Edison from NY always sends crews down, as do others. I haven't seen anything on the news about other states sending fire fighters to CA. Does anyone know if they do? TiA.
Our local news advised our city sent fire fighters to help......I live in Texas

@Its Me LuLuBelle2 At least 16 states sent relief crews to help according to a news story on the fires.

My first husband was a lineman with Con Edison and one winter due to a very bad snow storm he and his co-workers were bussed to Connecticut where they badly needed help. He was gone for several days but they got the job done. ![]()
