Mine isn't the clothing as much as it is kitchen gadgets.

In Florida you see most everything but mostly casual dress leggings, jeans and tops. I don't see a lot of the cold shoulder and never see anything that looks like Lori Goldstein with all those bag lady layers. In winter even though it is hot you will see boots and you know they must be sweating.

Here in SW coastal Florida I can say I've only ever seen one person wear a cold shoulder top.
We also don't see ladies in leggings here. Thank Goodness older women seem to know that this is not a good look at our age - and the younger women usually have on shorts here.
I agree with the OP that we seldom see things like Quacker factory anymore. And only occasionally a LOGO type top.QVC pushes these brands but they aren't so popular out in the real world. We were at a concert in Pa. and sawa woman dressed in the whole LOGO regalia - layered tops sticking out on the bottom over printed leggings and high spike heels. One of the ladies with us said "does she have her entire closet on at one time?"

I dont live in a metro area so there are a lot of jeans and t shirts and flip flops or tennis shoes.

I have seen some layers, like maybe a shark bite long tank under a hi-lo top.
Young high school girls & college girls like the shirts with the sayings.
I've never liked those, I'm a big college football fan and I only wear my logo shirts on game day.
For different charity events, fun runs etc, I always get a complimentary t-shirt. I wear them around the house or in the yard. I see a lot of them at the thrift store. I know that's not exactly the same, just saying.
The sparkly stuff I do see out at night & at the casino. I like to wear a little bit of bling sometimes.

15 years ago I saw a lady at my health club putting on Adrienne (HSN) makeup. It was the compact as big as a frisbee.
20 years ago an 85 year old woman came into my office to sign some documents. I mentioned that I liked her ring and her daughter said “Suzanne Somers”. That’s it.
I rarely watch the clothes segments on Q. So I don’t know what they sell. To me, it’s all way over priced Kohl’s clothes plus shipping and a return policy that’s a hassle.

When I worked at Belk after teaching I saw it all as customers walked by to go through to the food court. I did see a woman with Logo once. She paired it with penny loafers.
Groups of teens don't come to the outlet mall to "be seen". I guess they aren't interested in Field and Stream!!!
Now, at the outlet mall, I see people outside our shop who are walking by and I see families that come in. This is much more representive of where we live. These people are looking for quality and our store is first quality.
The teens through thirties have worn the off the shoulder items. I've seen shark bite; we see a lot of couples 30+ in denim and nice tees, occasionally a guy will wear a message tee.
I see a different group when I go out to eat at a nice resturant. They're either very traditional or more creative, artistic.

I'm also in the PNW, Seattle to be exact. The cold shoulder thing is more a young fad. My neighbor girl and her high school friends wore them and are still wearing them two years after graduation. The LOGO thing, which incidentally, I just don't understand, is one I have not seen at all in my stomping grounds. I've seen a few things that looked like Quacker Factory, but not many. Message Tees are again more for the young crowd, but since I live near UW, I really see more college name shirts instead. The things you mention in the last paragraph are definitely part of my age group, though I have to say, I buy Kate Spade only when it's on sale. I got rid of my Dooney and Burke because it was just too heavy. I'm kind of into Boho chic, so I gravitate towards Free People, but only for items that are age appropriate. Much of their stuff is just too young for me. I also like Ralph Lauren and Internationall Concepts at Macy's. Jeggings and leggings are a staple for me, and in the summer I wear really great mini skirts with shorts underneath that I buy for next to nothing at Costco. I actually had one on the other day when we had a lone 70 degree day.

@septemberwrote:CA..it just depends. We wore Uggs here, long before anyone else in the country knew about them. And those of us in coastal communities, will likely to continue to wear them long after other areas have given them up. They just work for us.
I dont think casual athletic wear will ever go away here. Most of us wear it because we really are going to need this style of clothing for the exercise or gym workouts we’ll do during the day, but for practical reasons, we may wear it all day.
I have a pair of Uggs wedge boots and I have a pari of wool knit Uggs. The one that gets worn the most is the wool pair. I don't wear them outdoors so much as I wear them during the cold winter months indoors to keep my feet nice and cozy. Lots of people in Seattle wear the original Uggs.

@Trinity11wrote:I live in the tri-state area and I mostly see a sea of blue jeans, exercise wear better known as athleisure wear and very somber clothing. Everyone dresses in black and gray. Rarely ever see any bright colors. Clothing like Logo and the Sparkle and Shine stuff.....I have never seen anywhere near where I live.
My kids work in Manhattan and have to dress for their professions. My son wears a suit and tie and my daughter wears a lot of suits. On their leisure hours they wear J Crew, Theory and my daughter also wears lululemon. My son likes shopping in Barney's for jeans and shirts. Everything is very low key and casual for weekend wear.
Hi @Trinity11
I wear a lot of black and gray, it’s been that way for a long time. I think it’s a city thing.
@Noel7 Hi. I’m in a smal town and still choose black, grey and sometimes white. It’s my personal preference, not location.
