Everything is so commercial. It's really sad. Holidays have no meaning anymore, it's about sell, sell, sell... and buy, buy, buy. Just like on Friday, Christmas will be forgotten and the "After Christmas Sales" will be hyped. People will be standing in line to return the gifts they don't want.

I'm of the Jewish faith. I'm glad we don't have any "After Chanukah Sales," or "The Passover rush." It's nice to have holidays that nobody knows or cares about... they focus on tradition and the meaning of that tradition. I admire those who celebrate Christmas in the traditional sense and make it less about gifts and all the hype. Chanukah was never a gift giving holiday. But since it comes near Christmas, people tried to make it like Christmas.

The marketers and retailers push so much on us... it takes away from the real meaning and traditions that are so important to observe.

Well I'm passionate and proud that I'm Christian and that I celebrate Christmas.

The only hustle and bustle around here is cooking for a larger than usual amount of people. And I LOVE it.

No one takes away from the real meaning of Christmas from me.

I watched Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu's Christmas message - I admire him so much!

I was at Target this morning and there was hardly anything left of the Christmas stuff.

Having worked in retail and merchandising, I can tell you that the the vendors do this for one reason only: because people buy that stuff as soon as they put it out there. The earlier they put their merchandise on the shelf, the more stuff they sell. It's that simple. It's just business to them. If people didn't buy those products so early, they would find something else to put on the shelf, but alas, someone will buy Valentine's merch in early January. It's madness, I know.
