Thank you Sandy. I am so thankful that for 2 generations we have broken the chain of alcoholism that was in this family. I closed doors and said "I am done!!!".
I am so very blessed that DS chose the girl that would stand with him the next generations; I do adore her so!
Please take the steps to be better. I wish I could be with you. What state are you in?

@SandySparkles - What a wonderful, uplifting thread! Thank you for starting this.
I have a life full of ups and downs. I found out recently a good friend's husband is not doing well, and they're not sure what is going on. On the other hand I met people recently who are helping others.
So today I'm not feeling great either. I over scheduled yesterday and it was hard to keep up. Sometimes I have to remember I'm not 20 any longer!
So what am I thankful for? Lots of blessings! My family first of course, my kitties and the fun they've brought us, my friends - both online and IRL, my church family, the wonderful people who come into my life, my home, times to relax and enjoy nature, and so much more. ![]()

Primarily, my good health! Secondary, a nice home, a good husband and son, good friends, the perfect amount of work opportunities, with nice colleagues. I've had my share of ridiculous bad work situations-

@beach-mom Welcome, and you are MOST welcome!π₯° I am SO happy your are enjoy it!π I am SO sorry to read about your friend's husband because I can RELATE to being sick, and not having a definitive answer as to what is going on! I am sending prayers for the doctors to find out what ails him.π
It is SO easy for us to put TOO much on our platesβ€, and then become overwhelmed physically AND mentally.π I HOPE you are feeling back to your old REAL self soon!!!π€π€π When we are young "whippersnappers" we do NOT know to APPRECIATE our youth!π Remember to regroup, and RELAX!π
THANK you SO much for caring to share your gratitude this evening!π€

@katie1859 Welcome!π₯° Yesss! We MUST count our blessings EVERYDAY for our prayers that were asked, and then answered.π My dear grandmother would say that they do not always come WHEN we ask for them, but they are ALWAYS on time.π
THANK you SO much for caring to share your gratitude! Those few words are QUITE powerful!π€
