Run don't walk, the Mallomars are here! The first of the season you'll find the best prices. For those that don't know what they are and why we love them, they are a cookie with I want to say a graham cracker crust with marshmallow on top enrobed in chocolate.

I can't recall if I've ever tried them, but I do love marshmallows and am a huge fan of the Pinwheels (Nabisco).     I think the major difference is that the Pinwheels have a chocolate cookie (instead of graham cracker) on the bottom.  It's kind of soft-ish and I like that, as I don't care for hard cookies.

Glad to see, for all the fans, that the Malomars are back!  They do seem popular and, hey, nothing bad about marshmallow and chocolate!  Smiley Happy

@chickenbutt Pinwheels are larger in size than Mallomars. I think Mallomars are a regional product ( they sell in the Northeast). I believe once the weather gets hot they don't sell them, September is usually the first sighting of them.

Sighting at Shop Rite the other day on an end cap on sale. Two for "something". I kept walking and repeated a mantra, "You do not need Mallomars...you do not need Mallomars....

Wish I bought them though.

Re: They’re Here

Life affirming!  Mallomars disappear in spring and return mid-September as a harbinger of autumn. I bought a celebratory two boxes today for $3.49 each. That price will change, but for now it's a bargain.

It's a yellow cake bottom (seems softer than graham, but it is graham!), marshmallow on top, covered with dark chocolate.  Rather extra delicious if refrigerated. Personal choice...

Raking leaves? Pumpkins?  Symbols of Fall we recognize, but the return of Mallomars to store shelves must be noted. @Jordan2 --I salute you!

@Jordan2 - My FAVORITE store bought cookie EVER!! With an ice cold glass of milk - I'm in heaven, lol.

Btw, when they go on sale I buy them and put them in the freezer - they keep well.

i always loved Mallomars, inherited the jones from my Mother -  but these are NOT the same as the Original Nabisco Mallomars.  MondeLez makes them now. They ruined Mallomars and Tate's cooies as well.

Oooh, I'll have to look for them at our local stores! We love Mallomars, but availability is limited. Thanks!
