It's snowing! Weather people were wrong again. I got big flakes coming down now.

Most of the weather people were wrong. Here in western NC we have already had more snow than both originally forecast and the updated forecasts. We may now be looking at 6-8+ inches compared to the 1-3" then 2-4" predicted. It is a wet snow and the tree branches are already weeping.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

It’s snowing pretty heavily at our house. We live on a busy road, which is never good when it’s slick and the cars have really started to slow down on it. In 2014, cars were stuck for two to three days on our road. Cars abandoned.

Our lights flickered a few minutes ago. I’m not Laura Ingalls Wilder on the banks of Plum Creek. Please don’t let the power go out.

I have both iPads and my phone plugged in, charging them, just in case.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@gidgetgh We're been a snow machine too for the past hour or so. We have about an inch and it's still coming down. No power issues yet but you are absolutely right. I'll bet especially tonight those lines might come down since it's a wet heavy snow and it's going to freeze.

Yesterday our area was predicted to get about 2 inches on Saturday. Suddenly they just stated we are to get about 5 inches.It sure feels like it is going to snow. Cold, damp and cloudy.

Does not make a difference to me. I have no car. My son's car is in the shop, so he has mine. No panic buying for me. We always laugh, it is not like you aren't able to get out and about the next day.

They are already pointing fingers again at how the weather report was so off. One of the school districts threw a reporter off their property because he was trying to rake them over the coals for opening today.

I'd pay real money if he would interview his coworker, Mr. Weatherman, about his false statement this morning that no one had any worries and it would just be a cold rain. No issues riding around town.

It just started snowing here in East TN. I love to watch it but hate to drive in ice. We'll probably just get a dusting though.

@Laura14 And anyone else.... if you’re on Facebook, you should follow Firsthand Weather. They do an outstanding job of predicting and really nailed this forecast. He’s a recent college graduate. Two degrees in Meteorology. He’s had has Facebook page up since he was 13. Does a terrific job.

@gidgetgh Thanks! I am not on FB but I may join for that page. I was just thinking to myself how can no one in this town predict weather ever? I've lived in ten different states and this one is the worst ever.

Didn't NASA just launch a new satellite that would be better at predicting the weather than former satellites? What happened?
