Re: They Know I'm Old When I Say My Name

I’ve never liked my name it’s unusual and definitely not popular
I didn’t know anyone else with my name until my daughter started kindergarten a little girl was in her class with my name , even today I’ve only known a few people with the name , growing up I never found anything in stores with my name either but I looked constantly
I do like my middle name though

@Zaimee I think your spelling is so pretty. Reminds me of the French way.

@Sage04 I love the name Margaret. It was my confirmation name.

@PhilaLady1

I'm a couple of years older than you and I went to school with a lot of Cheryls.  I still think it's a very pretty name.

I dislike many of the names people are naming their babies nowadays.  Some of the names are strange sounding to me. Older names seem better in many respects. In my opinion.

My good friend who is a Debbie (how's that for a 50s name?) wasn't too thrilled when her daughter named her little girl Parker.  But that's the type of names they like nowadays.

I guess there's no harm with me telling you my name.  Cheryl

I thought you were going to say something like Tilly, Gertrude or Sadie. Cheryl is not an old name

@I am still oxox ...or Pearl or Martha. I've always liked the name Cheryl. I recall some pretty ladies from the 70s like Cheryl Ladd and Cheryl Tiegs.
