I love jigsaw puzzles too! I've worked online versions, but I still prefer working with actual puzzle pieces. I have a folding table set up in my finished basement. I worked a few Christmas themed puzzles recently.

@wilma I have cats.  Not condusive to jigsaw puzzles.

Re: The world has spun off its axis

I have cats and I only do real jigsaw puzzles.  I put them (the puzzles, not the cats) away, when I'm not working on them.

And for excitement tonight (I almost forgot it's New Year's Eve) I've been in my recliner, watching a Hallmark Christmas movie, playing Candy Crush at the same time, with my two cats on my lap.

I am now heading to bed.  I gave up staying up till midnight for NYE a long time ago.  (I had a PB&J sandwich with a glass of milk for my dinner.  Sometimes simple is the best.)

Re: The world has spun off its axis

I have been watching the Las Vegas TV show Marathon all day on the "E" channel.

They are supposed to show every single episode so I am not sure when this ends. I am currently in Season 2. Perhaps Monday, but I can't see myself  watching a TV show for three days.

I am also reading my book on the commercials. :-)

Re: The world has spun off its axis

Hi, @gidgetgh !  Happy 2023 to you!

I only read a portion of the first page of replies but they made me laugh (as far as I got).  My husband and I have a NYE tradition.  Dinner is shrimp cocktail, Brie (softened in the microwave), pate and crackers and baguette with champagne, of course.  He wants to watch the Peach Bowl (I don't care) but is kind enough to click back and forth to Midsomer Murders on PBS.  Sarah Barnaby (Fiona Dolman) is apparently his long lost love!  LOL.  It's our standing joke.  This will be 32 years for us and I'm blessed to have him as my husband and partner.

@icezeus Yay!  I'm not the only one watching this.  It seems like they show all of the episodes one time every year.  I watch it on and off for the duration.  My favorite episodes are with Monica (Lara Flynn Boyle) and the later seasons.

Re: The world has spun off its axis

So I'm sitting here watching the news, it's 10:24 pm CT. I read this post and all of the responses.  I forgot about the black eyed peas I put on earlier and the burned up ! So now I have to cook more but I will do that tomorrow after I come home from church.  I'm going to play games on my tablet for a while, watch something on TV, not sure what, I will be flipping channels.  Happy New Year everyone !

Re: The world has spun off its axis

I am at home with my 2 grandchildren who have spent the week after Christmas here- ages 9 and 13.  We have all showered and gotten into pj's and watched Boss Baby (probably for the hundredth time).  We have been snacking on junk food and will stay up until midnight to ring in the new year.  Spoke with their parents who are enjoying the break to wish them a happy new year.  All is good.  Feel blessed to have such great kids and grandkids and am thrilled that they still want to come visit and stay here with me.  The cat doesn't enjoy it much thought.  She hides a lot of the time!
