The word busy has become annoying (to me) and nothing more than a lame excuse or laziness.
So I ask, do you frequently use the word busy day and night?
Examples when I ask people things; Can we get together? Oh, Im busy. I call a friend, I havent heard from. Oh they were busy. Did you send me the forms (at a company). Oh I forgot, I was busy.
Today was the topper. I suggested someone read an obituary via the website (because they live out of town) of a distant relative when they asked me the details of the services (via email) and they said IM TOO BUSY. (too busy to read an obituary?). I wrote back and said you dont have one second to read an obituary and laughed at them!
I used to work 45 hours a week (six days) and had 2 kids and took care of an entire house "alone" (cause my 1st husband didnt help one bit) and I was never "too" busy.
My husband (now) works 6 to 7 days a week and does all the heavy housework here, remodeling, alot of cooking, and runs me to my many Dr appts for my health issues, but we are "never" too busy for people we care about and for getting things done.
Busy = lame excuse for I dont want to be bothered! or Im too LAZY or UNORGANIZED!
Now I have to go "get busy" and get my shower and start my day
