The very first things you’ll do

FRIVOLOUS,  lighthearted thread.

When we are free to leave our houses again and feel comfortable doing so and the country opens up like a just bloomed rose, whenever the heck that is,  what do you want to do first, outside of see family, go to church, etc.  What FUN things would you like to do?

For me, I have three:

1- drive, like a bat out of you know where, to Great Clips to get my hair cut. Me, nose pressed against the glass, waiting for them to open.

2- go to our favorite Mexican restaurant, just up the street.

3- go to the grocery store and walk around and smile and converse with people, just like I used to.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

1. Go to church and sing in the choir.

2. Spend time with family & friends.

3. Go to a favorite restaurant to sit down to eat.

4. Go shopping for something I don't need! 😆

Hug and kiss my fam - especially my daughter, granddaughter and grandson that have been working and training Covid-19 at their hospitals all this time.

Call everyone to come over and jump in the pool with me.

Go out to eat.

@gidgetgh

I have no idea if/when that will happen. I’m in Florida and the governor is talking about sending kids back to school soon. I’m pretty sure he will be more comfortable telling us things can go back to normal much sooner than I’ll be willing to go there.

I’d like to see a good friend here in town but I doubt either one of us will be venturing to a movie theater and dinner out again like we used to do. She has a compromised immune system and I might visit her at her home.

I no longer want to shop in stores. At some point I might run in to get something I can’t order for pickup or delivery but it isn’t likely to ever be a normal fun thing again.

I’m not sure if/when I might attend a church service in person again. I can do that online and that is a safer alternative.

Life is not ever going to be the way it was.

Perfect post. You go girl!  Except I can't sing, but we miss going to our little church, hugging our 3 dgc, eating at a sit down restaurant and shopping for whatever I want.
