@Annabellethecat66 ... I'm not sure what brand phone you have. We have Panasonic, and we have to manually enter the phone number to block calls. It's a pain. We've been getting so many calls in the past couple weeks from "Joe the hearing administrator" and the lady "trip advisor...'Can you hear me all right?'" Even after asking them to not call back, they do anyway. Yesterday, I turned their number in to the FTC...and I signed up for "nomorobo." It's a free service that you can get online. It not only blocks robo calls, but also telemarketers. It does not block your doctor, school closing announcements, prescription reminders, etc. Only phone numbers reported as nuisance numbers are blocked.

@Yardlie I have the same phone as pictured here. Go to HSN they did have them and they're usually on flex pay (same as easy pay here).
Just push the button. It asks if you are sure, you push another button and that's it. It's also easy to take it off of block call.
No entering numbers. If I had to enter numbers I'd go crazy because I'm famous for transposing numbers. Ha!

It's a lifesaver, but we still get way too many robo calls. Why can't they be stopped? What a waste of time.

I do love 'Call Block'. I only get maybe one call in several days, lately, maybe because I also have nomorobo doing most of the work.
But, for those who don't have a phone with call block yet, be sure to shop around. I got mine from Amazon and it's more current and cost less than what hsn sells. Just sayin' ![]()
I looked at getting one of those separate units once last year and almost did but noticed that it has to be hooked up only to the main phone unit. Since my main phone unit is now upstairs, hooked up to my modem and router, it would have been very inconvenient.
Having phones with a call block button on each handset is the ticket, for sure, especially if your house is rather large. That way you don't have to worry about high tailing it to the unit and can just hit the button on the phone in that room (I have 4 or 5 extensions).

Unfortunately, it's about money going into certain pockets. ![]()
