Mine do and I am VERY proud.. And?

You can say whatever you want - animals licking themselves does not equal clean in my house. I owned dogs almost my entire life and I know that those dog beds would be filthy and have to be washed every week - and I would not want that in MY bed. No one can tell me that a dog who has been outside rolling in Lord only knows what is clean.

As well - comments about the dog sprawled out across the bed while the owners are clinging to the edges - that is not a restful way to sleep.

People spoil their children. I spoil my cats. And I'm happy that they are spoiled.

Animals give such unconditional love --- they deserve to be spoiled!{#emotions_dlg.wub}

Sorry, but I think sleeping with a dirty animal is unacceptable. That is why LL Bean makes dog beds.

My "dirty" cat is sleeping NEXT TO his L.L. Bean "dog" bed, right now, LOL! I thought I placed it in a good spot, but it must be sunnier two inches away. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Oh! Don't you just love how they'll follow a sunbeam around the house just to get a bit more warmth?

The rescue organizations insisted that I have a cat bed ON EACH FLOOR of the house. {#emotions_dlg.confused1} I got a big one from L.L. Bean, having Norman Rockwell visions of BOTH of them sleeping in it, and I got a smaller one for her. She has never slept in hers {#emotions_dlg.glare}, but occasionally they will take an afternoon nap (on a rotating basis) in the Bean one.

My cats love their heated bed bowls. The heat is just body temp and the high walls protect them from drafts. I can't sleep with them as they want to be up around my face all night.

Re: The only time it is acceptable...

I've shared my bed with both dogs and cats. When I was ten I slept with a raccoon. That may or may not be legal in some states.

Either way, the photos do not offend me. Thanks for posting.

Okay. You are entitled to your opinion. Now could the rest of us have some fun talking about our pets in bed with us without the scolding?

Amen, scottie. But you have to remember that seems to be HH's way. It's like the dark rain cloud hovering over a bright sunny day.

Edit: Thanking the OP for the thread and website to cute pictures.

Re: The only time it is acceptable...

My Baby Cat has kidney disease and it's hard to get her to eat - I follow her with the food bowl and a spoon. I was just now leaning over under the end of a table feeding her from the spoon - she eats where SHE wants to eat, and she sleeps wherever SHE wants to sleep. Unfortunately, she doesn't want to sleep in my bed any more and that makes me very sad, so sometimes I sleep with her on the couch!{#emotions_dlg.wub} My other cat sleeps where she wants to sleep as well.....{#emotions_dlg.wub}

I don't agree with you very often but I do in this instance. Every dog we ever had slept in its own bed. I honestly never understood how people could climb into a bed with hair all over it, especially cat hair. That, to me is gross. Blast away folks.

I don't agree with either of you, but it's how you feel, and you're certainly entitled to feel that way. Everyone is different.....

I think it was the dirty animal that set people off.
