Re: The most famous people you've ever met

The most famous person I ever met was my Dad.

He was kind, loving, generous, and a wonderful father and husband.

He fought in WW II in the Pacific, put himself through the university on the GI Bill, and taught us the value of education.

He took us on many family vacations and we learned to appreciate diverse cultures, histories and languages.

Yes, I have run across many "celebrities" around the world, but they have not touched or changed my life, and I never ask for auographs, because to me, they are just regular people that have a fan base.   Nowadays with social media, everybody can have their fifteen minutes of fame!

Re: The most famous people you've ever met

I met Kathryn Grayson at the hotel where I worked but my most exciting meeting was with Gregory Peck. My husband had a meeting at a NYC hotel and I waited for him in the lobby. Suddenly there was Gregory Peck coming out of the elevator. What I remember most was his deep voice. It was beautiful...and so was he!

@Sooner  I still can't even imagine. What a great memory to have.....

I remember years ago I had a huge crush on Ray Boom Boom Mancini (well it was between him and Wayne Gretsky there for a bit).....I finally thought I was going to get to see Ray box and didn't get to go.......wonder if he is still living?

He is very much alive.  He is from my hometown and cousins lived up the street from me.  Had many meals with him and he used to play games with us.  Outside games, football, baseball, kick the can.

I met Joan Rivers.

You can watch Ray's documentary on youtube.  The Good Son: The Life of Ray 'Boom Boom' Mancini - Full Movie

Loved Joan!  Would have loved to have met her.

Re: The most famous people you've ever met

Meeting celebrities is different than just seeing them from across the room, etc.  The ones I listed in my post, I actually had conversations with, some short hello nice to meet you, and others more in depth.  Burt Reynolds actually told me I looked lovely.
