You're right, Cakers.  Several news reports have now revealed that a number of the photos were in fact taken in India 20 years ago.

Then you don’t truly understand the magnitude of the fires in

the Amazon Rain Forest. 

Just a matter of time before certain predicable people on interweb

social media begin to doubt there really IS fire.

Ive been reading about it last night and today and its very very sad! I hardly saw anything about it on the news on tv. IMO it should be a major story!

Several years ago DH and I went on a thirty day cruise that included 1000 miles up the Amazon and then 1000 miles back to the coast.  I'm so glad we got to experience this area.  Of course the problem is much worse; the World's oxygen supply is directly tied to the Amazon.

I just think about ALL of the wildlife in the rainforest, MANY of which are found nowhere else on this planet.

We WE are the demise of ourselves and only us. Literally killing ourselves in every way we can.

The END is so much nearer than we think and there are only a handful of us even bother to give this a fleeting moment of thought. We've been heading this way for so many years, to be human beings with brains we are or many of us live more stupidly than the tiniest things with no human brains.
