The jacket has arrived!!!! Drum roll please.....

Hubby has been looking for a new leather jacket for nearly 2 years. I don't believe there's a men's store or a department store within 75 miles that we didn't go to. More than once. His old one that he left loved so much was 25ish years old and not fit for human wear lol. When I suggested he look online, he batted that idea down. He wanted a relaxed bomber style. Had to be lambskin. Had to have ribbed collar and cuffs. Had to be black or very dark brown. He also didn't want to pay more than $500. Lamb leather, under $500 was never going to happen. Not today. He was on his own. Apparently he was talking with our son in law. The one who is stylish and he took the project on. Lol He found hubby's dream jacket at a men's trendy online boutique. Not where 64 year olds generally shop. My daughter did her dad's measuring. They spoke online with a sales rep and he requested a full length pic of hubby against a light background. The sales rep determined his size. The jacket was $1499 the $1299 during the Columbus Day sale. So hubby bought it. It arrived directly from the manufacturer. FedEx. Beautifully boxed and packed. Of course he had to shower, dress, eat a big breakfast, check his work email before he opened the box and tried it on. I think he was toying with me. Lol. Well, the jacket fit perfectly. It's soft as buttah. It's black with a beautiful silky filled lining. It's everything he wanted and fit for a mature man's body. He's happy. It's definitely $$$$ but he'll wear the heck out of it for the next 20 plus years. He's expecting a $1000 bonus from work at the end of December. He'll put most of that on his credit card. By "most" he means less the $200 he'll give to me as my bonus. Lol. Next week we'll take my daughter, her husband and kids out to do something fun and for pizza to say thank you and to christen the jacket.

What a wonderful story with a happy ending! It is worth it to get something you love and spend for it rather than buy a lot of things you don't really like!

Good shoppers! Sounds like a great jacket! My husband got a leather jacket a LONG LONG time ago at a Coach outlet for way more than half off. Hetill wears it! I remember he said "But I have a leather jacket" and I said "That is a perfect fit for you and you are NOT leaving that Coach jacket here for that price!"

Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do!!!!
