If she only made one fumble, she is doing good. I sometimes pronounce things wrong too. 😯

@coffee drinker In the thread it says which courtney. Shawn saves Christmas show is coming to an end with Christmas approaching. My guess is there was sadness over that because they seem to enjoy cohosting together.

They were presenting a couch cover and Courtney did not cover the furniture properly during the demonstration. She left it bunched up on the bottom. None of the staff snuck in to fix it either. the sell was unappea6 with it bunched up like that. Then, I couldn't believe what I was hearing.... Courtney could not pronounce MINOLTA!!! It's the hosts job to know the product or at least know how to pronounce it. Then, to announce that she's too young to know the brand is a lame excuse. What's this world coming to when nobody wants to strive for excellence? This is just a little thing, but imagine if everyone started to do a mediocre job? These young people these days. Ugh.
Please specifiy WHICH Courtney there are so many hosts with that same name on QVC ---Courtney Cason, Courtney Khondabi, and Courtney Webb.... Looking at the program guide the one you reference is COURTNEY WEBB......
While she can do a good job at times....she's also known for not doing her homework and being unprepared at other times....she didnt know how to pronounce many of the gem stones on some jewelry shows and the vendors were a bit embarrassed ...
Especially with reduced schedules for some of the newer hosts with the rerun "experiment" it seems she would take advantage of the opportunity and invest more time in learning about the products and doing her job well--- that is what she was hired to do. What is more important her Olympic dream or her job at QVC????? ......BUT I wouldn't attribute her unpreparedness to her youth, there are other "tenured" hosts that are also sloppy and unprepared in their presentations too...

Oh my a rumpled couch cover and a missed prounounced word. She should be flogged and put in prison. Good grief.
And another post trying to start a Coutney K rumor.
Man you all are right on today.

By gosh, I like her!
Seriously, I've always liked Courtney Webb.
Lots of energy, and seems to be a very genuine (and ambitious, which I like) person.
Search the Web to see beautiful wedding photos.
Wishing her and her husband well, and the best of success at the Olympics.

It always surprises me what some posters will quickly jump to criticize the smallest things. That was Courtney Webb (since there are 3 different "Courtney" hosts now), and I saw the presentation of those Toscano slip covers. When putting her end of the slip cover on the sofa, she neglected to pull it completely down to cover the very bottom. It was such a small area left bunched.
However, throughout her entire presentation, she was poised, delightful, gave all the sales information correctly, had a very good rapport with the vendor, and made sure all the sizes and colors were showcased nicely for your purchasing decision.
Minolta camcorder? Yes, Oscar the vendor rep was the one that said she was too young to be familiar with the brand because Courtney had never heard of it and had to slowly pronounce it. Then she repeated Oscar's statement and said "I'm too young," making a tongue & cheek reply to him. But again, the rest of her presentation was just fine.
By the way, Courtney is training for the US Olympic Skeleton Team, for the honor to represent her country in 2022.These young people these days?? It would be so nice for some "not-so-young" people these days to not generalize so quickly.
Exactly! I was about to come to her defense, but you did it so eloquently. She is always professional in her manner of dress, and presentation. I hear several hosts misspeak regularly, but it is a non issue for me. It certainly does not affect my decision to buy, as long as the key points are adequately discussed. I was not aware she was training for the Olympics. Now THAT is impressive!

The Courtney K, who hosted with Shawn last night seemed not professional. All she did was put popcorn in her mouth and it was very annoying to watch. I was interested in the programming not the views of her shoving her mouth with the food. She seemed not to care or be thinking of something else. Weird.

When Courtney K first started, I thought she was a very good host. Unfortunately, she seems to have gone to the "dark side", i.e. silly and a performer rather than a good salesperson. As for Courtney Webb, I didn't see it, but agree that at a minimum, a host should be able to pronounce every brand they are selling. That is not too much to ask.
By the way, I wouldn't want to buy that Minolta if there is an entire generation who has never even heard of it. That was very poor selling.

I watched Courtney Webb during the presentation in question and was really surprised that she stumbled and bumbled the pronunciation. If she wasn't familiar with the brand, she should have asked someone ahead of time, while she was preparing for the show. I mean, aren't we told repeatedly that the hosts spend hours and hours in production and preparation meetings? I've always doubted that claim; this supports my view that a number of hosts are generally unprepared.
The management is also to blame, but they don't seem to care anymore.
