Well, I guess that's the end of QVC for variety. Its nothing but Women's, jewelry, clothes, shoes, shampoo, etc. This station has really changed. What do the male hosts do? There isn't any variety anymore. I guess you gotta go where the bucks are. And that with the women of America. But how many women need a gallon of WEN hair conditioner for $200.00??

actually...........me..........................raven

I agree. Back to the malls, boutiques, outlets. They were fun to begin with.

You are just noticing this now?? it has been like this for a few years now. Mostly infomercials for brand name products I can buy elsewhere for less money.

I realize it's been this way for a while. I joined when the Q was called QVN - Quality Value Network - it's been 31 years ago or more. I liked all the hostesses - not like today. Stuff was reasonable priced too. Oh, well.

Re: The end of QVC as we KNEW it!

I've been suggesting for quite some time that they need to separate the product lines into two different channels. One for the fashion, beauty, jewelry stuff, and the other for all other product lines.

If they aren't going to do that, I think they are going to have to balance their programming out a little better. Sometimes we go days and days with only one or two shows per day that aren't about fashion/beauty/jewelry. I don't mind when they do an event day or even an occasional weekend, because I like the cooking days and the CIJ days, but Q is way overloaded with the same product lines over and over and over again.

I feel they are doing it because the profit margin must be much higher with the fashion/beauty/jewelry lines and it is all about the money. They will always follow the money.

I wish they would get out and do the tours again. Try to find "different" stuff, but that's not big sales for them even though it was fun for us.

I too wish they would have the 50/50 tours again. They were so much fun to watch & I bought a lot of things from the tours. It also gave the small business owners visibility & a lot of them really did very well. For instance, Quacker Factory, Rid-X, etc. comes to mind.
