I live on the east side of Lake Washington, which is close to Seattle. All day yesterday and part of today, there were military (F-14s or F-16s....?) jets circling my neighborhood. Does anyone know why this was going on?

@GoneButNotForgotten  A couple graduates of UW did practice Friday & then flyover during the game yesterday, I wonder if that was what you were hearing?

I just Googled it, there was a flyover for a college football game. They must have been practicing

Don't know about "circling your neighborhood" and what your definition of that is.

@GoneButNotForgotten.  Probably some kind of training exercises.   You could call the base information office and see if they'll tell you.

It was for the Huskie football game--the pilots are from here as well as are alum. I live in Woodinville, but didn't hear a thing. Just happened to see this on the news.

Was it the Blue Angels?

Re: The east side of Seattle

Usually you can hear a difference in circling the neighborhood verses a fly over.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

There's no mistaking a fly-over run at our house if it is WWII planes.  That's a very distinctive sound for sure!

@tansy --no was not the blues--was the Navy's F 35-C--stealth jets--flew over the stadium at the UW for the Husky-Michigan game--the Huskies played Michigan in last years big football game for national title--and lost--- but this year, the Huskies won big time. the pilots were alums of the school, I think.
