What it's like to live in Tornado Alley.  I can usually be found out on the patio watching the storm but I thought I better play it safe this time

Uh-oh, it just got really quiet.  When I was much younger and we had a threat of tornadoes, I would be cleaning my house right now.  Still quiet I don't know if it's past or we're in the eye of the storm. I'm going to go look

@monicakm - We've done that a time or two, or more. If DH wasn't home the kids and I would run around gathering kitties and putting them into carriers.

DH was home once when we started our usual routine. He said not to confine them. If something drastic happened they wouldn't have a chance to get out of a carrier.

So now we gather them and take them in the basement with us, then let them run around. When our little girl was still alive she would immediately jump in my lap, and watch her brothers run around. There is so much they can get into down there that we usually don't like them going down.
