Lovely, @cherry.  Saint Patrick has to be one of the most famous and beloved, early medieval missionaries.

 

His life fascinates me, the way he rose from enslavement as a youth, to his life's noble calling.  What a great and good man!

It's good that the Druids wern't thinking about a nice venison stew.

 

I used to teach the Breastplate of St. Patrick. Students would pick out 2 lines of the prayer; write (cursive!!!) it and in the blank page above, illustrate the lines of the prayer they chose.

 

The work was often beautiful, always inspiring; we would display all the class' work on a bulletin board in the church's hallway, by the pastor's office.
