I hope that something good can come from this sad time. Maybe a new start will be good for her. I'd keep doing the freelance work while looking for something else and then leave on her own terms when the time is right. I will keep her on my prayers.

Yes, it's been a bad month so far for my youngest daughter. She will recover from the job loss much sooner than she will the loss of her beloved angel, Minou. But she is trying hard and I am optimistic that she will find some normalcy in her "new" life.

Thank you all for your kind and empathetic responses. My daughter and I have talked quite a bit about this and she is going to be fine. I am very optimistic that this will turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

Thank you all again.

She's getting a lot of harsh reality over at VP.

Here's some harsh reality for ya. YOU are a stalker. Leave this woman alone.

Wookie, it seems like the "harsh reality" is being 'dished out' by only that one poster. Ford took the high road, here, and DID NOT NAME her stalker...BTW, Ford did answer questions on VP, but it was posters like E that jumped to (the wrong) conclusions.

My Great Aunt Marie had a saying I made fun of, until I realized it had a lot of truth.

When something bad happened in life, she'd say "every knock is a boost."

More often than not, she was right!!

Ford, I am so sorry about Minou, and that your poor daughter must now endure a cold and unfeeling ex-employer. I wish her the very best of luck in her future endeavors, and that when she is ready, she will be open to rescuing another kitty who needs love and a great home!

I'm hoping that too, but she says, "never again." However, she volunteers at PetSmart every Wednesday night and I feel sooner or later she will take home another kitty. An older one, she said, so that it won't be 18 years of love lost, but perhaps giving some loving years to an older cat who probably would not be adopted.

Thank you for your kind words.

I feel the same, it could be a blessing in disguise. She deserves better! So sorry about her beloved cat Minou!
