We owe it to the world to aspire to the ideals in this poem.

It is too bad that most "Christans" in our society do not actually live their beliefs in their day to day lives. And that from someone who knows she falls far short every day, but I'm at least trying.

It's easy to become overwhelmed with all the problems in the world.  Here's hoping that 2018 will find more and more people stepping up and doing whatever they can.  There is no gesture too small to make a difference.

@sweetee2

I was wished a Merry Christmas yesterday at Walgreens by the young Muslim woman behind the pharmacy desk. She wears a head covering, so I know she is practicing Muslim, and I just thought it was such a sweet gesture.

This is it in a nutshell. @house_cat.

I think a lot of people don't 'give' because it seems overwhelming, like it doesn't count if you aren't building houses for Habitat or financing a wing at Children's Hospital, but the little things are what make most people's day.

Small kind gestures and giving, done on a regular basis by many people is what will 'fix' this world, one little kindness at a time.

@151949  Maybe those "most Christians" are trying but falling short, too.

Assuming that most Christians do not live their beliefs goes against the teaching of judge not and all that.

I tend to my own Christianity and let others tend to theirs.
