Re: The Wales' Family Christmas Photo

I like the 'hand in the pocket' look of the one boy, but yes, it does look staged. Did they want the picture in black and white I wonder? I do like that.

Re: The Wales' Family Christmas Photo

@Linmo ,  thanks for posting!  It's a fun picture that definitely shows the changes that children's growth brings.  I usually prefer something less casual at Christmas, but, they seem to like to switch things around.

I loved the outfit Kate wore to her annual Christmas carol concert:

The cream sweater, pants and coat really stand out.

Until she crouched down to talk to a young concert goer, I didn't notice the interesting flared detail on the sleeves--

Re: The Wales' Family Christmas Photo

I also found it difficult to recognized Kate.  Something looks different about her face - maybe her eyes or eye makeup or something.  She looks more like Marie Osmond than Kate to me.

They are a lovely family but this photo does not show them at their best - too posed, bland outfits and not in color.

Seriously @chrystaltree @? It IS a POSED photo for a Christmas Card. Of course it is "staged".  Its in b/w and the dress is casual to exude relaxed warmth not opulance. You dont have to like it but the reasonings make no sense to me.

Look at how much Charlotte looks like William.

This is young William on the right when they were comparing George to him. prince-george-william-072423-tout-9364e99db7ac42f68d16018b37774d00.jpg

I like the cropped version.  It's a family photo.

I think this was done in an effort to NOT be the focus of the royal watchers.

They can be shown as "just" a happy family because ...

CHARLES  IS the KING.

My niece has a professional large pic over her fireplace & the whole family is in jeans & white shirts. I love it & it shows the people rather than their attire.

@Oznell your eye is soooo keen. I would not have noticed that beautiful detail of the flair of her sleeve and now im obsessed with it! Lol ( i am no fadhionista but somehow revel in info like this and runway tv shows). Thanks!!
