My whole family stayed at the Venetian for my aunt's 80th birthday celebration.  I really enjoyed it. The rooms and amenities were very nice, and the whole shopping mall/Venice experience was beautiful.  I'm not a huge gambler, so I spent a lot of time just wandering through the "canals" and looking at everything. Be sure to try the gelato from the cart in the big plaza.

There is a pedestrian walkway from the Venetian over to the big Fashion Show mall, which I visited several times.  I think there was also a walkway to the Wynn.  If you like Barbara Bixby, she has a boutique there where you can drool over her couture pieces.

I love the Venetian.  Stayed there about 15 years ago and now we live in the LV area.  I dislike Circus Circus.  We've also stayed at New York, but I prefer the Venetian.  Mandalay Bay has a lazy river which is great for kids, but it's at the far end of the Strip.

We have stayed there many times. Just booked for a few days before Thanksgiving and got $150.00 resort credit with a two night stay. For the Venetian it is all about the location and room size. A+ for me.

I stayed there in July. It was an absolutely gorgeous hotel, and I loved the shoppes. We stayed in a king Bella Suite. It was fabulous. The restaurants, the staff, the amenities all were A+. Word of caution, do not,  and I repeat do not remove any snacks or drinks from the tray on the sideboard or the fridge because you will get charged (yes, they have weighted fridges). My mother in law learned the hard way. Anyhow, we had a very enjoyable stay. Next time we return, we will probably stay somewhere more central. We thought the Ventian was pretty central, however after spending several days walking the strip, it wasn't as central as we thought. Lol. Also we didn't spend much time in the hotel room, so a suite was probably overkill. although it was our first visit so we wanted to go all out! We had a great time and plan to return soon!

The rooms are nice but the walls are paper thin and don't get a room facing the pool as they blast the music all night very loud! I had to blast the ac in our room to drown out the noise! The shopping is great there and use the walkway to go next door to the Wynn and see the beautiful flower decorations near their stores. I have stayed at the Wynn hotel and it was worth the money as they thought of every detail you want in a hotel room and the rooms are quiet! Best nights sleep I ever had in Vegas. The rooms are stunning. Sorry to veer off topic but you will be walking a lot staying at the Venetian hotel. Bring comfy shoes.

Last time I went to Las Vegas for a long weekend, we stayed at the Venetian.  Loved it and would stay there again.

Uh oh. I see I'm in the minority. I had to go to Vegas on business several times, and my husband went along once so we could see the place together for a few days afterward. We did not like it. It was tacky. I stayed at the Venetian once and I guess I just didn't appreciate the phoniness of it all. I would not go to Vegas voluntarily!

Haven't stayed at the Venetian but have shopped there and gone to the shows.  On the strip I like Mandalay but usually stay at Orleans (because we get comped--and we aren't big gamblers).  The rooms are older but have decent amenities and they have movie theatres and a good range of restaurants.  I love foot massages and there are a ton near there ($20 an hrs plus $10 tip).  Also particularly like the Hard Rock (even though we aren't close to their demographic).  Since we usually drive (first from California now Arizona) so we always drive (which makes staying on the strip unnecessary).  We park at Caesars or Planet Hollywood.  Our favorite restaurant is Lotus of Siam--not real expensive but one of the best Thai restaurants in the country-- reservations are a must.

I've never stayed at the Venetian, but I've been to several restaurants there and shopped.  And I thought it was nice.

My husband has stayed there a few times, for business, and thought it was nice also.....until last week.

He was there for a week for work.  He said he had loud neighbors and the walls were so thin that they kept him awake.  The Venetian is also having some major plumbing issues.  Several times during the day, and in the middle of the night, all of the pipes started rattling and banging, and that woke him up also.  Apparently that won't be fixed for another month or two.

"I've been here since October 2006. Wow!"
