Yes, everyone here should report when they've received their first shot.  And again when they've gotten their second.  And every day thereafter on the side effects..  Good stuff.  Smiley Happy

I will be SO glad when every other thread on these forums is not about Covid 19. I think it has been discussed to death! I think there is too much censoring by moderaters, as well. Topics have to be so "soft" that they are uninteresting.

I get what you mean about soft topics. Part of the problem is that many people think it's mean or bashing if someone disagrees or offers an alternative view so they report them. People have to wear their big boy and big girl pants if they use social media.

Fyi, the 1st Amendment does not impact what companies allow on their proprietary platforms or the consequences for what's said. It each company's rules and doesn't matter if you or I agree or disagree.

I don't believe reporting is the issue... Even once reported, those in the position to do so can choose to take action or not...

I'd also note, since they're so often referenced in threads of this type, I believe we're all aware of the guidelines... Sometimes, however, it's not the guidelines themselves that are the issue but rather how they're interpreted and applied...

Wish I could take part in conversations that appeal to me, but, when trouble makers come in I know which way it's gonna go, poof, or drama ensues, so, I'm like Charlie Brown I don't bother.

Q needs to thin the herd.

@Sapphiregal  I agree with both the points of view you expressed in our original post. The volume of pandemic posts has been daunting and the boards seem to have become increasingly restrictive.

Yes, and it goes way overboard. For example, it gets annoying when people post all the pages of stats, numbers and graphs and of course the daily tallies of Covid deaths. Do we need that on a shopping message board?  Everyday someone must post the XXX number dead from Covid. Like we don't know that already?  Leave all the numbers , charts, etc. on the many many news sites that have already posted them.

It's the usual suspects posting so called news stories about it. I read and watch news.I do not come here to get my news. If people come here for their news they aren't terribly informed.

There are posters here obsessed with the virus.

@Sapphiregal

I get all the info I need on the news channels and websites on the virus!!!!

Yes, Im in total favor of passing by the threads of topics I dont care to read about--- But these virus threads are on OVERLOAD!!! They are cluttering up the Forums when each member has to post that they got their shots and someone looking for other conversations has to wade through tons of threads.......why can't they report that they got their shots under a virus thread that's already out there!!! I guess people are wanting their 15 minutes of "fame".....  😉

I think a nice compromise would be to restrict these virus threads to the WELLNESS Category!!! That way those of us looking for other conversation can find other threads much easier....

How would people like it if us sports fans instead of the
SPORTS category came to  COMMUNITY CHAT and posted a thread every move our favorite sports team was making in the offseason....Or each and every time our favorite Q clothing line came out with a new item someone started a new thread.....  ...Im sure people would complain how the COMMUNITY CHAT topic was out of control with these numerous threads...Same principle ..Woman Frustrated Instead we keep it under one specific category....makes finding a suitable conversation easier....

I think it's hard to avoid the subject, since certain groups have been grounded in their homes for a year now (me included), with the virus dominating their lives. Loneliness and separation from friends and loved ones has taken a toll.

Sharing online is a way to stay connected for many, and, of course, grabbing the golden egg vaccine, has become something to celebrate. The vaccine remains elusive for me, so I cheer in the sidelines for everyone who is successful.

This will change, in time, as people get back to their more normal activities. In the meantime, I have patience with it all and just scan for certain posters and topics I enjoy reading.

I agree wholeheartedly as well as there are the usual suspects who come out to whine, moan and complain about those same news stories. It's a neverending cycle and terminally boring.

Cracks me up when someone starts another thread to say how sick they are of a specific topic.  LOL
