That was fast. The sky got really dark and there were a few rumbles of thunder, a few sprinkes, then, bam, it it pouring buckets. You could feel the temp drop several degees in a few minutes. No need for open windows tonight,
We need the rain, our local weather people have warned of brush fire threat for days.
It was near 90 for a couple of days so am not surprised a thunder storm percolated from it.
How is the weather in your neck of the woods? I'm in NE PA.

We got several warnings on the TV and emails about "the BIG STORM". we were to get.
So far it has been sunny with white puffy clouds.
I was wondering who got the "Big Storm" because we sure didn't.
Guess it was you.
PS - We are getting "hit" right now. WHOW! It is hail.

The Sky Just Opened Up
We should be so lucky. Haven't had anything but a little light mist since late last summer.

NW NJ here, 60 degrees and very strong storm going on now. Pouring rain and thunder/lightning. We definitely need the rain here as well. We were in high fire risk through yesterday, this should help us.

Here in Amarillo, we were going great guns for a few days. Up in the 80's (no rain of course) grass turned green. I doubled up on sunscreen.
THEN
Now, they're saying might frost Sunday get down to nightime of low 30's. go figure. I turned heat back on.

@Kachina624, I can't imagine so little rainfall. How are your fire risks? I know here, after a decent rain like we are having, the air seems so much cleaner and everything just appears brighter. I actually love having heavy rainfalls.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 , here, too, in my neck of PA. It's been raining and thundering heavily on and off since about 1:30 p.m. Calms down for a bit then starts again. Need the rain to take away the red flag days. I saw they closed part of the PA. turnpike down due to a brush fire.

I was watching Jamie Oliver's cooking show, and it was the funniest thing. He was talking but what you heard was a voice saying something about something being closed between Exit __ and Exit __. /!?!?!?
Thanks for explaining what I heard. I was sitting there watching Jamiie's lips and thinking that is not what he is saying.
