To answer the question, no I haven't found that to be true. More often than not, I've gotten the error when clicking on another forum. These server errors aren't specific to the types of threads. That's not the way it works (like the insurance commercials).

I've been getting run time errors too just trying to sign in to these forums. (not on controversial threads). It mostly happens in internet explorer, so I have been switching browsers between chrome and firefox and its gotten better.
