The Roomba Today’s Special on HSN

[ Edited ]

Does anyone own a Roomba? Do you like it? I'm thinking of buying it & would appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

I am a vacuum snob.

Have a Rainbow and 2 Dysons.

Never thought that a Roomba could match their intensity and they may not

because you need a regular hand vacuum for many other things.

That being said have  2  J6 Roombas for my main level and 2nd floor they are self-empty ones.  Don't know how I lived without them my floors stay vacuumed 24/7.

I would only recommend purchasing  the self empty bins otherwise it is not a hands free no bother cleaning  process.

Still use my other vacuums when need to do a deep clean, furniture, get high places, behind small areas, car etc.

Buy it !!!

I received a similar one last Christmas and it's been one of the best gifts I've gotten.   For me, it is more effective at cleaning than my vacuum.  It gets under the beds and under the furniture.  Vacuuming is no longer a chore for me.

Plus you can't lose.  If you don't like after a couple weeks, send it back for a refund.

I have a Roomba and really like it.  But mine is a different version.  That price is really good.  Mine is six years old and it was $600.  It does a decent job.  But, we have dogs so once a week I use my regular vac to get all the dog hair.

I have one on each level also.  (I wish someone would invent a Roomba for stairs!)

Mine are not self emptying though.  I look at which the way the wind is blowing and empty mine outside.  I don't want to put (what looks like a furry bunny) contents in my trash can inside.

My father has the vacuum/floor washing, self emptying model--it may not be a Roomba now that I think of it, but I'm sure Roomba makes them.  Anyways, he still has to empty something with the vacuuming container.  He's never used the floor washing one.  I think he was bored and saw an ad on tv in the middle of the night.  I've digressed a bit.  But, I would LOVE to have that model to clean my (covered) deck out back.

@Lucky Charm  I live in a 2 level home too.Would the Roomba work the same if I docked it upstairs but moved the device to the lower level to clean, then brought it back upstairs ? Or does it need to be on the same level as the docking station?

@NicksmomESQ I think it would work if you carried it from one level to the next.  I put mine on the landing, which is practically another level from the docking station.  Just place it back on when it needs to be charged.

I know people think it's a lazy person's way out of vacuuming, but it goes under dining room chairs, the table, end tables, my occassional chairs, BEDS (yes, I yelled it!) and all points in between.

My house is kept much cleaner using this daily, sometimes twice a day (grandkids).  I can be doing other *chores* without pushing a vacuum cleaner and moving furniture--it does the work for me.
