Wednesday Morning Greetings

Since so many of you (including me) have to deal with this bitter cold and very dangerous weather, I was just checking in to make sure that all of you, a well as your precious furbabies, are alright.

My heart goes out to all of the homeless animals and the wildlife who are trying to survive in this Arctic Freeze.

We are blessed that our two feral cats came back to us this morning they are warm and eating breakfast in our heated garage. We were worried about them because we sort of fostering and taking care of them. They have there collars and they do not venture any further then our backyard. They are both beautiful tuxedo cats that are about two years old. Both males One named Soupy sales and the other named Brice. I have four dogs so we cannot keep them in the house but, this works out well they have the garage and the yard which we hope they stay in. They are friendly but, feral. But, Steven and I took them in for shots and they are in good health. We are hoping to adopt them out, my vet is expressing interest and might be adopting them in the near future. No animal should be out in this very cold weather. Thanks for letting me vent. Godspeed to all and please be careful out there. Anna [Matty6]

Well, it was back to school for me today! My kinder kiddos come tomorrow. I will be glad to see them but can't help that I am a little nervous. Flu has hit many states, including Georgia hard. With my compromised immune system, I have to be very careful. I did get a flu shot but they say some of these strains out there may not be covered by it! Our temps are going to take a tumble Wed. and Thurs. of this week. We'll have lows of 15 and highs in the low 30's. Where in Alaska (and other places) that would be a heat wave, down here, it's very cold! Luckily, we are not expecting any precipitation with the cold.

Stay warm my dear friends. Hug those furbabies for me!

Friday Morning Greetings

Just like the rest of you I'm also dealing with this insane bitterly cold weather and I hope that you and your furbabies are all safe and sound.

Right now it's snowing and as my driveway is under at least and inch (and the amount is quickly growing) of snow and the road that I live on has yet to be plowed and salted/sanded,I'm staying put.

Got about 8 inches of snow to start our ch-ch-chilly Friday. Not too bad. Even convinced DH to snowblow Lily's backyard path. Why didn't I think of that years ago?!

Sheltie- I am so happy for you to finally have some _now. I know you must want more.

We are getting ready to start the cold rainy period for a few days. The girls are doing fine and the DML is behaving. It is hard to believe it is already the 11th of january. It seems like yesterday that I was celebrating the new year.
