They sound like a wack a doo bunch
Heard they have an 18 year old son. Not from a Law Enforcement source, so!

I think the other son is from a previous marriage of the father.

Maybe he's got a little bit of sense.

I read that the shooter and his brother moved up to MI from Florida together and have not been living in MI very long....I assume the woman here is the stepmother since the boys are half brothers....I know the shooter looks very much like his father.just shows a lot of family dysfunction that no doubt contributes the the issues this 15 year old was dealing with. The 18 year old described him as quiet and gentle and never having any behavior issues...so they clearly don't know each other very well and may not have even lived together in Florida.

The parents were found early Sat morning hiding out in an studio in Setroit. It was not forced entry; someone with a key let them in, so now they are looking for that person to church him with something also. Who knows what story they told him to get him to let them hide inside. He may have thought he was helping if they told him there lives were in danger.

Apparently, you are ignorant about the law. Research before you make such absurd comments.

This horrible family has devastated southeastern Michigan.
What kind of nutjob buys their 15 year old son a Glock for Christmas? Mom facebooked that she couldn't wait to go to the shooting range with him. Sick.
They could have been more forthcoming when meeting with school admin the day of the incident. Dad immediately returned home searching for the gun. At that time why didn't he notify 911?
Please pray for the fellow students, educators, first responders. They are still pretty broken up. Oxford is a small bedroom community, where this kind of thing just doesn't happen.

I'm conflicted about this. Sometimes parents just don't know what their children are thinking at all times, or they just don't believe haphazard thoughts are reality. Then again, maybe they should have been more in tune with their troubled child. I'm honestly in no position to say I know what the parents were thinking. Either way, it will weigh heavily on them forever. It's not a position I'd wish on any parent.

Ethan Crumbley drew very disturbing pictures indicating a struggle with voices and asking for help.
There is more to this tragedy than just access to a gun.

Right now I am trying to understand how his parents took off and left him after his arrest. This indicates to me a set of parents more concerned about their own image than being there for Ethan.
It reminds me of one of the mothers of one of the Columbine shooters who said nobody will like them now. (Paraphrased)

The mother of the older son (18) said that Crumbley was earning 6 figures but wouldn't pay her $67/week in support without a fight.
She also said that he fathered a daughter with another woman before abandoning them all to run away with Jennifer (who she calls a "monster.)
