The clothing on QVC is serviceable and can look nice, but nothing on here is what I would call chic. That is not a put down, it just is what it is.

Depends on who's wearing the outfit and how it's styled.  One person can look chic with an outfit while another person wearing the same outfit can look matronly.

Your comment reminded me of that beauty magazine that has a column called Who Wore It Better .... and they'd have photos of different people wearing the same garment, styled their way.

That's a fun article!   Does anyone know what magazine has this?

I think it's Glamor Magazine.

Another overused work is "Elevated".    A vendor even said that the other day lol!

Re: The Over Usage of the Word, "Chic"

Since we're discussing over used words, I hope someone can find a different word to describe a garment that doesn't please them besides "hideous."  It's used everywhere.  We get it....talk about beating a horse to death?  This is for posters here who decry many a look they wouldn't wear as hideous.
