It sounds totally disgusting. There used to be standards on what was shown on TV, but those went by the wayside, years ago.
It seems that now, anything goes. Does "free speech" have to mean nasty, crude and unpleasant? I doubt that it was intended to be used that way.
Heck, I remember the days when Lucy and Ricky a married couple, had to sleep in single beds, as did Laura and Rob Petrie.
Back then, they couldn't even say the word "pregnant". That was silly.
We've come a long way, haven't we ?
Too far!
Not to mention the Lume commercials. Oops, I just did.
It's only what you make of it!! Nasty crude and unpleasant??? IT's a fact of life and how else would you makret it? Keeping the unpleasantrealities of life a secret will not solve these issues!!!

@Shanus wrote:I know some here use and like LUME, but when the commercials and ads first appeared, I was mortified. Why not just shower if you stink? I've gotten used to seeing the ad now. I watch most TV shows that have been recorded, so I can FF through all commercials.
@Shanus I was surprised when I saw that commercial too. I have no interest in the product either but I know someone that uses it. To each his own, I guess ![]()

I find the Chapstick commercial with the OBNOXIOUS young girl dragging her cahpstick lips on the car window.

That Chapstick commercial bothered me, too. No child of mine would have thought of doing that.
Kids sat in the backseat (belted in with a seat belt) and usually were reading or quietly talking to us or a friend who was along for the day. Our cars were always clean.
No one ever put handprints or anything on the windows! That girl bothered me a lot with her satisfied grin at the end. Was she doing it for revenge to parents? IDK.

We use our remote to change channels during commercials so we can avoid as many as possible.

Another "visual" I can do without is the woman who pulls out the waistband of her panties so she can spray some body deodorant there. It's gross to see and hear that smelling horrible from head to toe is a common issue. Why don't people take showers if they are so dirty they stink? Same for guys! The wipes and creams aren't really necessary if you bathe regularly.
The stuff they are selling probably just mask the odors; they don't take the place of a shower. My eight grade boys used to spray tons of Axe on themselves after gym class and I had the pleasure of smelling that since I had them in my class right after gym. It was super "manly" cheap cologne smell with sweat. Charming.

Speaking of Ice & Fox. I turn off immediately. Car Shield is the worst car coverage you can get. Read the reviews & facebook page.

I've always DVR'd everything so I can FF through the commercials and watch a one hour show in 43 minutes.
I rarely watch anything in real time.
The only downside is when people here talk about current commercials ... I have no idea what they are talking about! LOL ![]()
