The Medical Ship in NYC arrives

I'm watching the news and in New York where there carrying out body bags to a refrigerated semi there are people watching the medical ship coming into the port. They are standing there taking pictures some with masks and others no protection. They were not teenagers like in Florida but adults. I wish they would have been arrested and thrown in jail. Maybe they have a death wish but what about other people who want to live. I can't believe that in the year 2020 that people are so ignorant and have no regard for human life.

Police arrived and dispersed the crowd.  NYC police are now authorized to issue tickets to people who disregard physical distancing guidelines for up to $500 so perhaps they did that.

Wear a mask. Social distance. Be part of the solution - not part of the problem.

And good luck to them trying to get the offenders to appear in court if necessary and trying to collect those fines.

@CelticCrafter  I don't see why. As far as I know the city is pretty good at nabbing scofflaws even if it takes a long time.

Spoiler

Anarchy is a wonderful political system until you mix it with real human beings.   That's my belief, not based on the wise words of some ancient philospher.

People doing whatever they want whenever they want with little or no regard for the common good have no good place in any of the history I've ever read.
