What is the point of bringing up another thread? It has absolutely nothing to do with what I'm commenting about this time around.

Now I know what Fergie must fee like! Everyone bringing up the past.

A friend in need is a friend indeed.

Hi everybody, between getting little sleep because I woke up early to watch the Royal Wedding and going to my sister's bridal shower, I've had little time to post here. What I was most looking forward to was seeing the Royal Family's faces during the ceremony. (Even more than seeing Meghan's dress which was underwhelming). I didn't really see a look of joy in their face. Many members weren't even looking at the bride and groom when they were saying their vows. Did any of you notice this?

@JBKO

No, I did not.

Seriously, what you were most looking forward to was seeing the Royal Family's faces during the ceremony? I was looking forward to seeing the bride & groom.

How could you see many members weren't even looking at the bride and groom as they were saying their vows? On my TV, the cameras focused on the bride and groom.

What is the point of inventing what's not there?

In this extraordinary image with their six bridesmaids and four page boys George, third from the right is grinning cheekily as is Charlotte, second left on the floor. Here the Duke and Duchess were pictured in Green Drawing Room, Windsor Castle with (left-to-right): Back row: Brian Mulroney, Remi Litt, Rylan Litt, Jasper Dyer, Prince George, Ivy Mulroney, John Mulroney Front row: Zalie Warren, Princess Charlotte and Florence van Cutsem

Re: The Looks on their Faces--Extended Royal Family

I watched 20/20 Friday eve which was my only viewing of the nuptials.  @JBKO is absolutely correct ... there was a disconnect with the family members--knowing the camera could be on you any minute, one would think to "act" as if you were elated--I saw something completely different than those touting this as the event of the century.

The Queen did not attend her own son's wedding, she was at Harry's 'against her own beliefs' as she remembers the debacle over Diana's funeral.  Really people, the Brits do not care about you, just your tourism dollars.

Re: The Looks on their Faces--Extended Royal Family

[ Edited ]

I thought the wedding was really, really nice.  Everything I would have expected.

I only saw pics here and a minute here and a minute there-- on television.

I would like to watch the whole thing some time down the road.  Okay, not the WHOLE thing....lol.  There are parts I know I'd fast forward through....

It saddens me a little that Meghan's mom was the only blood relative there for her.  I would hoped she had a close cousin or (great?) aunt or someone, who could've escorted the mother.  Not only that, but just to know she has a relative she is very close with.

Also, it seems the mother came at the last minute.  Was she flown in before to meet the Royals or even Harry beforehand?  (I certainly hope so!).

Her input in the wedding wasn't *hand on* for sure and that also makes me sad.  Someone had mentioned on a thread that Meghan and her mother were 'in control' as they both ordered more flowers for the church the day before (I think it was the day before) the wedding.

That is hardly showing control, it actually seems a little pathetic.

That said, the wedding went off without a hitch.  They are married.  And as many times as people said that Harry deserved this shindig 'because it's his first marriage/wedding', I can only hope it's his only wedding.  I always think in those terms.  Probably, not a popular anymore, but I own it.
