It debuted last night. We'll watch again, not sure we're hooked but the premise is fascinating: That a rapture occurred but those taken would not have been those expected to be taken. Three years later, how residents of a town are coping with the confusion and uncertainty of what happened and how to proceed with living.
Two cults have formed, one a following of a guru type man with a tightly run organization and another of those taking a vow of silence and as acting as observers. It also seems to take in members who cannot cope with the losses they've experienced.
Everyone else is trying to put one foot in front of the other to maintain some semblance of normalcy. Next installment appears to be more interesting.

I could have done without the dog shootings.

The dogs were not made clear -- they must have been abandoned by owners raptured and left to turn into feral packs. The stag's break into the police chief's home was very odd.

I love Tom Perrotta, but I didn't care for this book. I have no desire to see the series.

The guy in the truck made a comment that makes you to hmm ""They aren't our dogs anymore."" it was his delivery of the line that makes you go hmm.

Sounds hilarious...except for shooting dogs.
