by Upton Sinclair is the book we're reading in book club. Released in 1906, it is an expose on the meat packing industry in Chicago. It was the impetus for the creation of what would be later known as the Food and Drug Administration.
I can't put the book down. Totally relevent to the world today- though we have it so much better (and I hope it stays that way). Has anyone else read it?
