@makena  Your title made me laugh Smiley Happy    But, the fact that this narcisist  will be living a good life on a $300,000 a year NFL retirement, plus what he will be making from the Screen Actors Guild - they estimated $500,000 from them, and living in Florida makes me sick.

Neither Nicole's family, nor the Goldman's will be able to touch any of that money from what they said on the news. Only income that he makes off of books or personal appearances, that type thing.

Your title is the winner for the year.  I love it, not the subject but the title.

Actually, I don't care for the title because it is misleading. He won't actually be loose until October and the title makes it sounds like he is free right now.

There's always one or two (sometimes three).

@makena  I like accuracy.   And no apologies for it.

No way on God's green earth would I expect an apology nor do I think you'd be one to extend an apology when necessary.  My thread was merely a joke -- a funny.  Sometimes you have to lighten up.  You're taking it way too far.  I wasn't reporting the news.  I forget I'm dealing with reporters here.

It wasn't 'ignored', however the chain of possession and collection was spotty at best, you are allowed to consider those factors, which apparently.......they did.

I believe it was ignored especially considering the overwhelming evidence as a whole. I do understand that the publics knowledge in 95 compared to todays knowledge was a lot different.  There were many different pieces of blood evidence both at his house, the Bronco (a mixture of OJ, Nicole and Ron), bloody socks,  on his grounds and Nicoles. I do agree with you in the fact that the prosecution was out maneuvered but only a person lacking critical thinking skills actually believes that a police dept that had previously gone very easy on him when they received numerous calls for domestic violence would then go on to plant hair evidence (at both residences and on Ron), fiber evidence and Bundy and Rockingham, blood evidence (at least 8 pieces if I recall correctly), shoe evidence and glove evidence. That doesn't include witness testimony of where he was. Sorry I don't think that much evidence could be manufactured and decided upon to frame him that quickly and agreed upon with everyone in agreement. If it doens't make sense then it usually isn't true. It doesn't make sense that a police dept that was pretty lenient on past domestic abuse calls would all of the sudden decide, ok we are going to make him responsible for these murders whether he is or not.

The jury decided what they did and everyone has to live with it but I think they couldn't have made a bigger mistake.

Idiot?  I think not, perhaps they followed the legal instructions they were given, just because you don't agree with the outcome does it makes them stupid. I'm sure they are at peace with their decision.

@Irshgrl1201

I suppose you thought the jurors who acquitted the LAPD cops in the savage beating of Rodney King were also idiots, huh?

I absolutely did @vabreeze. As a matter of fact I found them to be bigger idiots.

I'm aware of that, @BeccaLou.  I'll have to look back at my initial post.  I have a tendency to write confusing posts:/  My husband's the same age as OJ and really admired him back in the day.  Thanks.

He should have never been acquitted of those murders in the first place.  That's the real travesty of justice.

I don't know how those people can sleep at night knowing they let a murderer walk out of there...

Not to mention the DNA was WAY over their heads, therefore summarily dismissed.

I know people 'outside' of the gallery are livid and I understand your stance, but we weren't there dissecting what was presented in court.  Personally, I don't find it helpful to second guess people who are presiding over high profile cases, bottom line, he wasn't convicted of murder and won't ever serve 33 years for his robbery conviction. There are more dangerous people roaming our society, I'm sure of it.

I remember Judge Jackie Glass, who handed down the nine to thirty three year sentence to Simpson, said she didn't know before the trial if he was arrogant or ignorant.

As the trial proceeded, she found out he was both.

Gawd, I love that woman!

@missy1

I really hadn't noticed, but at some point after the car chase on the 405, Ford stopped making Broncos because of all the negative publicity!    Woman Surprised
