Does anyone have any favorites from this company?  Or....Do you have suggestions for other companies that have better products.

Re: The Honest Company

[ Edited ]

I have never tried any of their products. I see they have a shampoo & conditioner. I will have to try them. I found a tear free baby shampoo & body wash made by Mild by Nature that I started washing my hair with. My scalp seems to like it. The only other product they make is a lotion which I'm going to try. I bought it from iHerb. They have a sample size listed under the trials for .10¢ so I tried it.

Ingredients: Shampoo & Body Wash

Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice*, water (aqua), sodium lauryl glucose carboxylate (sugar-based), lauryl glucoside (plant- derived), decyl glucoside (plant-derived), sodium cocoyl isethionate, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, avena sativa (oat) kernel extract, colloidal oatmeal, hydroxypropyl starch phosphate, calendula officinalis (marigold) flower extract*, oenothera biennis (evening primrose) oil*, linum usitatissimum (linseed/flax) seed oil*, borage (starflower) seed oil*, sodium hydroxypropylsulfonate lauryl-glucoside crosspolymer, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, sorbic acid, natural fragrance (parfum), glycerin (plant-derived), capryl hydroxamic acid (naturally-derived preservative), caprylyl glycol (naturallly-derived preservative), citric acid (naturally derived).

Wasn't this company involved in yet another lawsuit recently? Something to do with sunscreen I thought....

I've read that the company was being sued over their sunscreen not working and many people suffered severe sunburns after using it.

After that, I'm not sure I would trust their other products. They've also been sued over their claims that their products are "natural".

I would not have a problem buying their products. I read over the article about the sunscreen. Just as I thought the problem is with application. It's a natural sunscreen & would have to be applied more often. It also says they took out over half the zinc that was in it. People just need to know what they are buying by looking at the ingredients.

I don't normally do the natural thing, but I like the products.  Costco had, and may still offer, the shampoo/body wash at the best price, but I let my membership lapse.

I max out the bundle with laundry detergent or pods, floor mopping pads, healing balm, kitchen towels and such and get cheaper items as the add ons.  What I like is that I can get things on schedule, speed it up or slow it down.

Thank you for the articles and responses.  I am appreciative of other companies names if anyone else wants to share.
